Two textiles, one color story. The cushion softens the chair, the runner softens the table, and the indigo softens everything.
The Maker
Two workshops: a hand-dye studio in Guizhou for the indigo table runner, and a textile studio in Hangzhou for the shibori pillow cover. Both work with natural materials and traditional techniques. Both believe fabric should be touched, not just looked at.
The Place
Guizhou's mountain dye country and Hangzhou's textile tradition — two regions connected by the same indigo plant and the same belief that color should come from the earth, not a laboratory.
The Craft
The table runner: hand-woven linen, dipped 8–12 times in natural indigo. The pillow cover: linen, shibori resist-dyed in the same vats. Same color family, same process, different expressions. Both will deepen with washing and wear.
At Home
Runner on the dining table, cushion on the nearest chair. Or runner across a bed, cushion at the headboard. The indigo ties them together without matching — and that's more interesting than a set that tries too hard.
