The celadon glaze — a pale, jade-like green — is applied in multiple thin layers, each fired separately. The result is a depth of colour that seems to glow from within, like light passing through a mountain pool. The plum vase form, with its narrow neck and rounded body, is one of China's most classical ceramic silhouettes.

Longquan celadon has been produced since the Song Dynasty and was prized along the Silk Road and maritime trade routes. The characteristic 'plum green' hue comes from iron in the glaze, reduced in a wood-fired kiln to produce a spectrum of greens that ranges from misty grey to deep jade.

Use as a vase for a single stem, as a display piece on a shelf, or as part of a curated ceramics collection. The glaze is non-porous and easy to clean — rinse with water and dry. Each piece in the set carries subtle variations in glaze thickness and colour, making them individually unique.
